Upload Samples

You have a small set of files you want analysed or stored for reference. The analysts have said they would like to receive the data in Azul.

You have a folder on your computer containing the files. You have:

  • a ticket number (optional)
  • a small description of what the files are

Steps

  1. in the top banner, click entities > upload
  2. look to the 'Source' panel
    1. make sure the 'samples' source is selected
    2. the organisation and user reference values should be automatically filled
    3. in the ticket value, add the ticket number if you have one
    4. in the description value, add a description if you have one
  3. look to the 'Files' panel
    1. click the 'Browse' button to open the file picker
    2. navigate to your files on disk
    3. select one or multiple files and click 'ok'
    4. if ALL of your files are zip files, click the extract checkbox
  4. optionally add Extra Settings
    1. click Extra Settings
    2. add any desired settings
    3. NOTE - settings only apply to the top level of a submission not the files subsequently extracted from that file.
  5. look to the 'Submit' panel
    1. Select the security markings that cover all of your files
      1. you can specify a more complex security marking by selected the 'custom' item
    2. check that the 'Upload Files' is enabled
      1. if not, check the list of invalid items below the submit button for missing data
    3. click the 'Upload Files' button to submit your files to Azul
  6. look to the 'Files' panel
    1. watch the file progress bars to see if the files have been successfully uploaded
    2. on a successful upload, a 'view entity' link will appear in place of the progress bar
    3. click this link to see view the analysis of Azul
    4. share these links with the analysts
